Everything below is work Dr Goodlawns actually does, and every photograph on this page is from one of those jobs.

The core of it. A yard gets cut level, trimmed where the mower cannot reach, and left tidy — front, back, around trees and tight to the fence line.
Book a single cut whenever the grass gets away from you, or put it on a schedule so you stop thinking about it.

Cory Winscott puts it simply in his review: “Takes care of my lawn biweekly and it looks great.” That is the pattern most regulars settle into.
Every two weeks keeps a Gulf-coast lawn from ever getting ahead of itself, and keeps the edge line crisp instead of letting it disappear into the concrete.

Once the ground runs past what a walk-behind or a single zero-turn pass can cover in a day, it wants a tractor. Open fields under live oaks, long verges down a rural road, estate grounds either side of a gravel drive.
Same finish as a front lawn, just a lot more of it: cut level, taken around the trees, and run down through the ditch line rather than stopped at the easy edge.

Grass and scrub well past mowing height take a rotary cutter or a batwing behind the tractor, not a mower deck. A field that has been left a season or two comes back down in passes.
It does not have to be the whole field either. Sometimes all anybody needs is a lane cut straight through heavy brush so they can get to the back of a property.

Some yards have just been left a while — a winter gone by, a rental between tenants, a property nobody has been out to. Destiny Nichols called hers “my over grown lawn” and said Mark was “understanding” about it. Nobody is going to make you feel bad about it.
It comes back down to level, and then it is a normal lawn again.

Jeremey Jones booked a mow and had a pad cleared on the same visit. That is often how it goes — the grass is the easy part, and what is sitting in the middle of it is the actual problem.
A collapsed outbuilding with timber, window frames and insulation spread round it. A cut stump and its root ball left in a field. A log that needs to be somewhere else. The loader takes a grapple and pallet forks for exactly this.
To be clear about the limit: we do not fell standing trees. If one is already down, we can move it and clear up after it.

A cut lawn with a soft edge still looks unfinished. Run a proper edge along the driveway, the sidewalk and the bed lines and the whole yard reads sharper than the mowing alone would ever make it.
River-rock borders, mulched beds and the plantings in them get kept clear, kept defined, and kept from quietly turning back into lawn.
So nobody wastes a phone call. Dr Goodlawns does not offer irrigation or sprinkler work, fertilisation or weed-control programmes, pest control, or hardscape construction — and we do not take down standing trees. Moving a stump that is already cut, or a log that is already on the ground, is clearing work and we are happy to do it. If you need something on this list, we will tell you rather than take the job.
A lawn, twenty acres, a field that has gone to brush, or a lot full of someone else’s mess — call and we’ll give you a price.
